What's that sound? It's the sound of a deadline flashing past my
head. Friday came and went and there's still sooooo much to do - but it
looks like we are on schedule to get the next issue out for Friday 13th -
er.... yes! FRIDAY the 13TH!!
Steph sent in a corker -
along with a really layout which our designer will aim to duplicate -
it is good to get other voices into Arthur as it really needs to be a
variety of writers rather than a centralised monotone (however gorgeous mine is
natch!)
We have articles ready to roll about local food
heroes, fashion, theatre, shopping, photography, business and other
goings on from the Independent Sector in Leeds.... and beyond...
So, now a weekend of writing, fiddling, editing and we should be good to go!

New Year New Blog!
Arthur is just a few weeks old now. And with issue 2 on its way we have decided to share the process, the fun, the frustration of getting Arthur out into the world every month. So welocme to an irregular, glimpse into the wonderful world of Arthur...
Today we had one of those meetings where we just went throught things and either ticked them off, or sacked them off - so for now the all singing and dancing web site is on hold until we get the paper established, but we are in complete agreement about editorial content, advertsising sales strategy, and who makes the tea. I might even get a desk in Arthur Towers too (although I like to work from home/decent coffee shops in Leeds).
Next stop was a meeting at the lovely (but ominously overshadowed with looming clouds) Corn Exchange, with the amazing Stephanie Upsall, who apart from cheering me up, agreed to do a column for theatre in West Yorkshire, covering the things that interest her, choice upcoming performances and productions ... a combination of her own views and opinions and info about West Yorkshire Theatre Network that she runs...Stephanie was keen to get started, not so keen to discover that the deadline is THIS FRIDAY ... heh welcome to publishing!!
